Sydney

I stayed in Coogee Beach in Sydney when I first arrived in Australia. I made many new friends and went to the Taronga Zoo with my friend Sarah. Sarah is a chef from Canada who is now working on Rottnest Island. Sarah and I also visited the Opera House. While I was there, I was able to buy a ticket for the most popular and previously sold-out show, The Phantom of the Opera. It cost me an arm and a leg, but I was 6 rows from the stage and sat next to a lovely lady named Jill who was in Australia for work from Wisconsin. Lastly, I did the Coogee to Bondi Coastal Walk with Sarah. It took about 2 hours but was definitely worth all the time it took. It is one of the prettiest views and a great way to enjoy the coast of Sydney. After only 4 days in the city, I hopped on a coach bus to head to my next destination, Melbourne. I booked an "Oz Intro Tour" with a company called Intro Travel to help me settle into my new country, meet people, and get ready to start traveling and working.
Melbourne
My first stop after Sydney was Melbourne, where I did a tour with Intro Travel. I met lots of new friends, saw the Great Ocean Road, and learned so much more about Australia. There is a blog all about my adventures in the 'Blog' section on this website.
